Happy 5th Birthday Faith!!!

Who would have thought that my labor wouldn't progress and they could delay the birth of twin B {Faith}!  I had no idea.  And when the medical team suggested the plan to us, I think we thought a delay of a few hours. 

2 days later, Faith and I became very, very sick.  They ordered an emergency c-section as there was an infection brewing in utero causing very dangerous complications.

At 5:09pm, Faith was born weighing 1 lb 3oz.  They told me she let out a whimper cry but I did not hear it, or remember it.

She needed her first surgery just a few days after birth, but couldn't transfer to Childrens until she was a bit more stable.

She failed all her hearing screenings at the hospital.  And went through weeks of testings to determine her issues.  She couldn't regulate her breathing and heart rate very well.  She had an enzyme deficiency which led the team to suspect she may have Cystic Fibrosis {she doesn't}.  She had a ND and a NG tube to help with her feedings.
She was the first to wear preemie clothes, though they are clearly swimming on her. 

Though born 2 days after Grace, she came home 2 days before Grace.
 
5 years later she is the sweetest girl ever!  Faith is full of love and smiles.  She is such a happy girls, rarely every mad, but when she is....you will know :)  She cherishes her family and is constantly telling us everything is for "mommy, daddy, grace and faith".  HA!  She adores her sister, and is always thinking of her.  If she gets a cracker, she will always get one for Grace too!!
Faith is OBSESSED with arts and crafts.  She loves writing and is constantly asking me "whats next mom" to write a story.  Her latest thing is to make cards for people :-)  She will sit at the table for 2 hours and paint, or wash dishes {which is really playing in soapy, bubbly water :) } for ever!!!
She LOVES to read...usually her picks are books of princesses :)  She is into pretend makeup and "doing her hair", or nails :)  She is ALWAYS brushing my hair, painting my toe nails {pretend} or putting makeup on me {she dips a play baby spoon in a cup for makeup...hahahahahahaha}
Faith has a gentle heart and is such a precious girl to us. 

I am SOOO thankful for their relationship with each other.  They ADORE each other and barely ever argue.  I just LOVE and CHERISH them soooooooooooooo much!!!! :)

Happy 5th Birthday Faith.  We love you more than all the stars in the sky, all the sand on the beach, and all the way to the moon and back!!!!
